Title: Formal Letter to the British Government

Background:

After the loyalist reached Canada they found that conditions there were far from ideal. Some had inadequate housing and others had issues with French laws being in place instead of British laws. There were also some groups of peoples who felt discriminated upon by locals and recent immigrants.

The Letter Assignment: Loyalist Refugee Letter to the British Government

Imagine that you are a British loyalist who recently arrived in Canada after fleeing the thirteen colonies. Write a letter to the British Government through a parliamentarian explaining whey you are unhappy and asking them to remedy the cause of your unhappiness.
