The French Canadians (Canadiens) rebelled over their lack of control over government decisions that affect them. "Give me liberty or give me death" one man shouted. This way of thinking eventually led to clashes between British Troops and French Canadian citizens in the streets of both Upper Canada and Lower Canada.
Students will now engage in designing their interpretation of what the street battles between the French Canadian and British soldiers looked like using any materials they wish.
